This beautiful handmade20cm lampshade has been lined with a gorgeous vintage Mid Centuryfloral barkcloth fabric. The fabric dates from around 1950/1960 and, as I only had a small piece of this fabric, it is one of only two lampshades to ever be made with it, pretty unique huh?

The outside fabric complimentsbeautifully the inside with a gorgeous warm mustard organic cotton canvas. The shade has been lovingly handmade by myself and would look stunning on any table lamp or ceiling light.

The unique thing about these lined shades is that by day you simply see the exterior fabric, but when lit up at nighttime the interior fabric just shines through. Absolutely beautiful! Check out the pictures above.

I’ve got to admit, I’m a bit in love with this fabric ❤️.

The design of the fabric used in this shade means that it can be hung as either a lamp shade or a ceiling shade. The shade will fit any UK (Bayonet Cap B22) or European (Edison Screw E27) light fitting.

I always recommend that you use low wattage, energy efficient light bulbs which, not only produce less heat when lit but also use less energy which is great for the environment.

The Vintage fabric lining inside the shade has been treated with a flame retardant treatment. It has then been added to a firm PVC panel which is both UV resistant and flame retardant, meeting the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association Manufactured in the UK.
